Shenaaye Parvaaneh

Shenaaye Parvaaneh :  فیلم ایرانی شنای پروانه is an Iranian film directed by Mohammad Kart, released in 2019. The screenplay, written by Mohammad Kart, Hossein Doumari, and Pedram Puramiri, revolves around a woman whose image, while swimming in a pool, gets broadcasted online, leading her brother-in-law to search for the photographer. The film features Javad Ezzati, Tanaz Tabatabaei, Amir Aghaei, Ali Shademan, Mahla Bagheri, Mehdi Hosseini-Nia, Iman Safa, Nahid Moslemi, Nader Shahsavari, Aban Askari, and Panteha Bahram among its cast.

"Swan Dive" premiered at the 38th Fajr Film Festival in February 2019, where it was nominated for 14 awards, winning six, including Best Supporting Actor (Aghaei), Best Supporting Actress (Tabatabaei), and Best Editing.

Plot: Parvaneh (Tanaz Tabatabaei) visits her brother-in-law Hojjat's (Javad Ezzati) auto repair shop and asks him to confront her husband Hashem (Amir Aghaei). Hashem, driven by a video of Parvaneh swimming in a pool circulating online, is destroying the pool in retaliation. On their way back from the pool, Hashem assaults Parvaneh. He is sentenced to death by the court.

Hojjat and his father (Nader Shahsavari) seek Parvaneh's father's (Alireza Davoodnejad) consent. Parvaneh's father agrees only if they find the person who distributed the video. The police trace the SIM card used to the recently escaped addiction camp escapee named Reza Zare (Aban Askari). Hojjat, along with his friend Masib (Mehdi Hosseini-Nia), searches for Reza, who is rumored to be dead.

Hojjat, guided by Hashem, approaches individuals previously associated with Hashem. The search includes people like Ashkan (Ali Shademan), who runs a beverage workshop, and Shapoor (Panteha Bahram), managing a gambling den. Both deny involvement in the video distribution. The police arrest all individuals Hojjat approached.

The abducted individuals, considering Masib responsible for reporting to the police, attack Hojjat's garage. Hojjat, along with his brother-in-law Mohammad (Iman Safa), kidnaps people involved in the former human trafficking in the neighborhood, pressuring them to confess. Akbar Konti (Behrouz Parnahandeh), one of the abductees, confesses to reporting to the police as per the demand of a woman claiming to be Hojjat's temporary wife.

The abducted woman (Aban Askari) confesses that she distributed the video to avenge Hashem and Masib, who has held an explicit video of hers for three years. Hojjat receives some money from Masib to release him. Obtaining three and a half liters of glass bottles (the amount for the death penalty), Hojjat plants them at Masib's house and has the police arrest him. In the final scene, Hojjat tells his family that he couldn't find the video distributor.
