Sagband | فبلم سگ بند

Sagband : "سگ‌بند" is an Iranian film directed by Mehran Ahmadi, written by Hamid Akbari Khameh, and produced by Mohammad Hossein Qasemi. The film was released in 1400 and had its online premiere on January 18, 2023. The cast includes Amir Jafari, Bahram Afshari, Sirous Gorjestani, Nazanin Bayati, Bahareh Kian Afshar, Mirtaher Mazloumi, Vida Javan, Ezzatollah Mehravaran, Siamak Safari, Ali Taqipour, and Mehran Ahmadi.

"سگ‌بند" is Mehran Ahmadi's second film after "مصادره" (Confiscation) and was prepared for the 38th Fajr Film Festival. The title "سگ‌بند" is derived from the name of a wrestling technique. The film was officially released in Iranian cinemas on March 15, 2022.

The story revolves around a family from the lower part of Tehran. The father of the family, played by Sirous Gorjestani, was a former wrestling champion and a medalist but passes away. The film depicts the events that follow this tragedy in the family's life.
