Shirin Yazdanbakhsh : شیرین یزدان‌بخش : Shirin Yazdanbakhsh, born in 1948, is an acclaimed Iranian actress. She won the Crystal Simorgh for Best Supporting Actress at the 28th Fajr International Film Festival for her debut role in the film "Please Do Not Disturb" (2009). She was also nominated for the Crystal Simorgh for her performances in "Facing Mirrors" (2011) and "Life and a Day" (2016).

Biography
Early Life and Career
Yazdanbakhsh was born in Isfahan. At the age of four, her family moved to Behbahan, Khuzestan, due to her father's military job. She currently resides in Tehran. A dedicated theater enthusiast and music lover, Yazdanbakhsh entered the film industry by chance when Afshin Hashemi invited her to act in "Please Do Not Disturb." Before her acting career, she worked for 32 years as a government employee in the Tobacco Company and is now retired.

Her role in "Life and a Day" earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress at the 34th Fajr Film Festival. Additionally, she won the Crystal Simorgh for Best Supporting Actress for her role in "Please Do Not Disturb."

Health Issues
Yazdanbakhsh was hospitalized on March 29, 2016, due to thyroid problems and a lung infection. She recovered and was discharged on April 9, 2016. On April 19, 2023, she suffered a stroke and was admitted to the ICU, being discharged on April 25.
