Omid Roohani | امید روحانی

Omid Rouhani (born May 11, 1961, in Tehran) is a physician, film critic, and actor in Iranian television, cinema, and theater. He has collaborated as a critic and writer with the film monthly "Film."

In films such as "Tardid" (Suspicion), "Kargaran Mashghool Karand" (The Workers Are Busy), and "Dayere-ye Zangi" (The Black Circle), Omid Rouhani has played various roles. Additionally, he portrayed a cinema critic in the TV series "Mard-e Do Hezar Chehreh" (The Man with Two Thousand Faces) and took part in the comedic TV series "Sakhteman Pezeshkan" (The Building of Doctors), directed by Soroush Sehhat. He also played a role in the play "Sharq Sharq Ast," directed by Masoud Rayegan.

Some of his notable films include "Bad va Shaghayegh" (Wind and Shaghayegh), "Mix," "Minaye Shahr-e Khamoosh" (Minai of the Silent City), "San Paterzburg," "Pol-e Choobi" (Wooden Bridge), "Narenji Poosh" (Orange Suit), "Hazarpa" (Thousand Paws), "50 Kilo Albaloo" (50 Kilos of Sour Cherries), "Zendegi Khosoosi-ye Agha va Khanom Mimi" (The Private Life of Mr. and Mrs. Mimi), and "Dynamite."

Omid Rouhani served as a medical consultant for Dariush Mehrjui's film "Banoo."
