Farrokhlagha Houshmand, originally known as Farrokhlagha Pourresoul (born March 15, 1929 – passed away July 12, 2009), was a pioneering figure in theater, cinema, and television. With a career spanning over 70 cinematic productions, her notable works include "Shabe Ghoozi" (Farrokh Ghafari), "Khastegar" (Ali Hatami), "Kalagh" (Bahram Bayzai), and the acclaimed "Samad" film series.

Life: Born in 1929 in Rasht, she began her journey in theater in 1945 in Gilan and continued in Tehran until 1963. Farrokhlagha Houshmand made her entry into cinema in 1957 with a brief role in "Nardban-e Tarqi," collaborating with Parviz Khatibi.

Passing: She passed away on July 12, 2009, after 32 days of hospitalization.

Artistic Activities: Her acting career commenced at the School of Dramatic Arts under the supervision of Ataollah Zahed, Majid Mohseni, and Hamid Qanbari in 1945. Farrokhlagha Houshmand gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of the mother in the popular "Samad" film series, appearing in almost all installments.
